2017 Celebration of the Arts

The 2017 Celebration of the Arts, where The Classic Center Cultural Foundation rejoices in the successes of the past year and highlights the Cultural Foundation scholarship recipients, went off without a hitch. The Foundation hosts its members each year to say thank you for their support and to inspire them for the upcoming year.

New this year, Celebration of the Arts was created and executed by the 2017 class of the Hospitality Careers Academy. The Hospitality Careers Academy is a program for high school students who are interested in a career in hospitality and tourism. During the week-long Academy, students listened to guest speakers in the industry, participated in job shadowing and industry tours and took part in team-building and leadership activities. In addition to this, the students were given a position at the beginning of the week that is an actual position within the industry. Together, this team of motivated and exemplary students envisioned, created and executed the 2017 Celebration of the Arts.
