Executive Director of The Classic Center, Paul Cramer, elected to Athens Community Career Academy’s Governing Board
Athens, GA – Paul Cramer, Executive Director of The Classic Center, was recently appointed to the Athens Community Career Academy’s Governing Board as one of six new board members. Cramer replaced founding board member, Chuck Jones, Athens CVB Director, as a representative of the hospitality industry.
The Athens Community Career Academy, a Charter Program in partnership with the Clarke County School District, Athens Technical College, the University of Georgia and OneAthens, offers all high school students in their junior and senior years the opportunity to gain post-secondary, career-focused course credit while in high school. The Academy also offers sophomores 16 years of age or older more opportunities to earn college credit in conjunction with Athens Technical College. Students will either gain credit through an Athens Tech career pathway or earn academic credit in courses not specific to pathway enrollment.
“I’m so very honored and humbled to have been elected to the board of ACCA,” Cramer states. “It’s a huge privilege to not only represent the hospitality industry, but to also help educate and support students who wish to excel in this industry. It is my firm belief that these students provide a bright future for any career path they choose within the Athens community.”
