John has been surrounded by art his entire life. With a mother as an artist he was encouraged to draw and paint at a very young age. He submitted his first painting for exhibit at age 6 and since then he has been acclaimed as a talented young artist whose style is to incorporate a broad array of bright colors into his paintings. John was recognized at age 15 with his work making the cover of a Georgia Agricultural magazine. That same year he was featured in the Oconee Enterprise as a “Rising Star” for his pen and ink drawings depicting historical places in Oconee County. Having exhibited at the 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2009 Lyndon House juried exhibition, as well as the 2002, 2004, and 2008 Southworks juried exhibition, John is becoming recognized by his distinct style. | |||
