In a groundbreaking tribute to Athens history, the captivating musical production Linnentown - The Musical is set to take center stage in April 2024. Written by Hattie Thomas Whitehead, author of Giving Voice to Linnentown.  The musical depicts a historically significant African American community in Athens, Georgia, in the 1960s that was erased due to urban renewal. 

This eagerly anticipated musical promises to transport audiences through time, connecting them with the rich culture and community that once defined this remarkable neighborhood. 

The upcoming musical is an artistic tribute to these families, their stories, struggles, and triumphs.
