Athens Wine Weekend benefits The Classic Center Cultural Foundation, which awards over $60,000 in grants and annual hospitality education, performing, and visual arts scholarships. The Cultural Foundation will host it's 2023 Athens Wine Weekend event this February at The Classic Center.

Kicking off Athens Wine Weekend, Amuse-Bouche is a Friday evening wine tasting affair. Featuring several of the most talented chefs from favorite local restaurants, this event provides a sampling of their cooking artistry, all paired with the perfect wine to arouse the palate. Amuse-Bouche is sponsored by Athens Coca-Cola Bottling Company, Carson Advisory Group, On-Site, OVG360, and Cox Media, Inc.

A highlight of Athens Wine Weekend, this incredible multi-course meal features cuisine of Austria expertly prepared by The Classic Center's Executive Chef with Levy, while the Austrian wines are hand selected by Frank Sinkwich, President of Northeast Sales Distributing. From start to finish this event is guaranteed to deliver a culinary experience like no other. Gourmet Dinner is sponsored by JE Dunn, Mallory & Evans, Orkin Pest Control, and Perkins & Will.
Course 1: Brandl Zobing Gruner Veltliner – Endive topped with arugula, lardons, hazelnuts and shaved gruyere cheese. Served with a citrus vinaigrette and an herb oil drizzle.
Course 2: Lackner Tinnacher Ried Eckberg Morillon– Homemade bread dumpling served with Gruyere cheese sauce.
Course 3: Weingut Mayer Pinot Noir - Salmon with a citrus tarragon glaze and house made Spaetzle.
