Honoring Paul Martin's lifelong contributions to the hospitality industry and his impact on education and workforce development in Athens, the Paul T. Martin Hospitality Education Fund supports students with a passion for hospitality, event management, workforce development, and sports management.

A visionary in his field, Paul Martin championed:

  • Accessible education for aspiring professionals.
  • Practical training through hands-on and classroom-based learning.

Paul T. Martin was a member of The Classic Center Authority Board (1996–2004) and a founding member of The Classic Center Cultural Foundation. Until his death in August 2025, he continued to inspire others through his values of servant leadership, teamwork, and commitment to community growth.

Application Requirements

The 2025 application window has closed. Check back this Fall for the 2026 application.

Eligibility:

  • Students enrolled in hospitality, event management, music business, or sports management degree programs at the University of Georgia or Athens Technical College.

  • Graduating seniors from the Athens Community Career Academy pursuing higher education in hospitality fields.
