SCHOLARSHIPS

Paul M. Cramer Hospitality Scholarship Fund

for employees of The Classic Center

The Classic Center
Downtown Athens, GA

The Paul M. Cramer Hospitality Scholarship Fund was established in 2019 in celebration of Paul Cramer’s 25th anniversary as President/CEO of The Classic Center. Mr. Cramer began his successful career in Rochester, New York, working his way from Banquet and Concessions Manager in 1986 to Assistant Executive Director by 1992. In 1995, Mr. Cramer moved to Athens, Georgia, where he began his work with The Classic Center Authority and the local community to oversee the development and construction of The Classic Center.

Throughout years of leading The Classic Center’s efforts, Mr. Cramer has championed workforce development efforts through the hospitality industry. Through the creation of programs such as Bread for Life and the Hospitality Careers Academy, as well as his direct influence in establishing hospitality degree programs at Athens Technical College, Mr. Cramer has repeatedly proven that the hospitality industry is a true driver of local workforce development and economic growth. Mr. Cramer and his wife, Stacey, are incredibly grateful to the private donors who made this fund possible.

Because of his dedication to the growth of the local hospitality industry, as well as his passion for promoting from within and providing abundant opportunities for employees of The Classic Center, the funds raised for the Paul M. Cramer Hospitality Scholarship Fund will be used to provide scholarships for employees at The Classic Center to start or continue their education in the areas of hospitality, music, sports, or event management.

Congratulations to the 2023 Paul M. Cramer Hospitality Scholarship Fund Recipients
