African Inspired Art Exhibit Coming to the Georgia Club in November
Born in Ghana, renowned painter and now resident of Savannah,
William Kwamena-Poh will be presenting his art to the general public on
November 4th and 5th at the Georgia Club’s Village Hall.
Statham, GA: The Georgia Club and the Classic Center Cultural Foundation are cosponsors proud to introduce the works of William Kwamena-Poh to Athens area residents. Kwamena-Poh’s home and studio are in Savannah, GA though his work can be found across the country in art galleries, private homes and corporate offices. He was featured in the Feb., 2016 issue of Forbes magazine as one of twelve contemporary artists from Jackson Hole to Madrid worth watching.
The event is free and open to the public. There will be refreshments and a cash bar, as well as raffle tickets for sale for some wonderful prizes. All revenues generated by the raffle sales will be donated to the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia.
