Classic Entertainment is partnering with the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce to present an outdoor cinema experience you can feel good about attending. Come watch the classic comedy Office Space from the comfort of socially distanced pods in the open-air 440 Foundry Pavilion at The Classic Center on September 25.
The movie screening will start at 9:00 p.m., but doors will open at 7:30 p.m. with live entertainment by Avery Deakins starting at 8:00 p.m. to allow staggered entry times for attendee safety.
“Cubicle” pods allow patrons to bring their own chairs and blankets, or you can upgrade to the “Office” pod for the ultimate movie experience. “Office” pods come equipped with chairs and an iced bucket of beer delivered directly to your space. All tickets include a complimentary bag of popcorn. No outside food or beverage is allowed, but a concession stand will have a variety of options at the event. To limit gatherings or lines, servers will take orders and bring concessions directly to pods.
Tickets are on sale this Thursday, September 10th with a presale exclusive for members of The Classic Center Cultural Foundation beginning Wednesday, September 9th! Buy a space for a group of two, four, or six, with ticket prices ranging from $20 to $120 per pod. There will be no day-of ticket sales. Office Space is rated R. Guests must be 18 or older to attend.
This event is produced as a part of the Ready, Set, Go Safely campaign, a collaborative community effort to promote and encourage protocol, sanitization measures, and safety guidelines. Masks and signed affidavits will be required to enter the event. All staff will wear masks and undergo temperature checks upon arrival.
