ATHENS, Ga. – The 21th annual Silver & Archibald Run/Walk for Home 5K will kick off Saturday, April 7 in front of The Classic Center in Downtown Athens, with registration beginning at 8 a.m.
Proceeds from the race benefit the Athens Area Habitat for Humanity and the Athens Area Homeless Shelter.
“We look forward to this event every year and are very excited for this legacy to continue,” said Spencer Frye, executive director of the Athens Area Habitat for Humanity. “This is certainly an opportunity to not be missed."
Around 300 people participated last year in the race, which follows a course of paved roads and includes the North Oconee Greenway.
Packets can be picked up beginning at 6:30 a.m. on race day.
Registration is $15 per person if postmarked by March 25, and $25 thereafter and on race day. There is also a $45 family rate for up to four family members (pre-registration, by mail only and does not include T-shirt).
