Marketing Project Coordinator 
Department or Section: Marketing
General Responsibilities: Execute the overall marketing and strategic planning programs for The Classic Center, and assist with all corporate communications.  Position will facilitate client development through marketing and client services programs. The position reports directly to the Director of Cultural Foundation & Marketing. 

This position is located at The Classic Center offices located at 300 N. Thomas Street in Athens, Georgia. This is a full-time exempt level position. 

This position reports directly to the Marketing Director.
1. College degree required in Marketing, Business or Communication.
2. One to three years’ experience in marketing and/or project management.
3. Must be a self-starter and highly organized.
4. Requires good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows-based computer applications and design applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.

Human Resources/Business Manager
General Description:

The HR/Business Manager will lead the human resources department regarding all areas of recruitment and retention, onboarding/separating employees, orientations, general administration, benefit administration and employee relations. Additionally, the role will assist, monitor, and oversee financial areas of The Classic Center and Convention & Visitors Bureau including, payroll, accounts receivable/payable, audits, and financial reports.

This position is located at The Classic Center offices located at 300 N. Thomas Street in Athens, Georgia. This is a full-time exempt level position.

1. College degree. B.A. from accredited University preferred.
2. Minimum five (5) years’ experience of broad financial and human resources management experience.
3. At least two years of experience in a managerial role is preferred.
4. Successful candidate will be detail driven, organized, and have a strong understanding of various business related software(s).

Event Coverage Guard
This position is a part-time position (approximately 10 to 25 hours per week, depending on events) scheduled though The Classic Center Security office. This position will be responsible for the safety and security of the patrons, guests and employees of The Classic Center during various events that require extra security guards to maintain safety at the facility.

Director of Sales - Convention and Visitors Bureau
This position’s primary task is to target, solicit, and attract social, leisure, sports, and meeting/convention business to Athens to increase general hotel occupancy, thereby enhancing the economic impact to our community.  Focus is on group business.  The position also manages and mentors any and all sales positions within the CVB and reports to the CVB director.

Engineering Assistant

The Engineering Assistant will directly assist the Director of Engineering & IT as well as the Lead Engineer regarding the overall daily maintenance of The Classic Center. Primary duties include, but are not limited to: general light duty facility maintenance, inventory coordination, assistance with distribution of trade show power requests, preventative maintenance program, contracted service coordination, telephone systems, internet connectivity and lighting. This position will assist with the completion of daily work orders within the department. This is a part-time position and reports directly to the team of Lead Engineers.

Event Planning Intern

Special Events Intern
The Classic Center marketing department is looking for an intern for Fall 2015. This position is a non-paid position. In general, the hours will be set around the intern’s schedule and will include 15-20 hours per week in the office. Some nights and weekend work may be required during events.
Responsibilities include:
  • Assist the Special Events Coordinator with event correspondence
  • E-mail marketing
  • Assist with event promotions
  • Assist with designing event set-up
  • Other duties as assigned
Desired (but not required) qualifications:
  • Experience with Special Events and Event Planning
  • Ability to provide and work from your own laptop
  • Experience with Excel
